Best Conversation With a Bible Teacher Ever
I have many decades of seeing many different Bible teachers, and of course, each one has their own personality and is just as human as anyone else.
My overall experience has been that Bible teachers are elevated up to some superhuman high chair, or elevate themselves up to one, or a little of both happening.
I definitely support respecting teachers. AND I support teachers respecting students and helping a person be elevated up to their level through the way they speak and act. THAT is a true and loving teacher that genuinely helps people get spiritually free and strengthened! Yes, the teacher might have to use some strong boundaries on people who choose to not act in a healthy and loving manner, but that teacher does it from clarity and love, which is still so very respectful of the commandment of loving your neighbor as yourself, and gives people a good example of how to make and sustain healthy relationships.
The direct dynamic between Bible teachers and students has been a continuous experience for my whole life. Just in the last few days, I was reminded of one teacher who has totally made me take a double look because of his balanced interactions with me. They are truly the healthiest interactions I have ever had up to date. I will admit, I do not know this man well. We ended up being Facebook friends somehow. He probably friended me for some reason because I don’t ask many people to be my friend on Facebook. I wait to be asked (only because then I am clear that the people who are my friends really want to be friends and are not just being nice to accept a friend request).
I also don’t know his teachings well either. But one of his post’s contents was just stellar, which I will share in this article. And our interaction on it was the healthiest I have experienced with a Bible teacher. His quote, which started our whole discussion, is post-worthy as an example of what respect and love look like on Facebook and in human interactions.
Here it is…
The Creator doesn't give you the people you want. He gives you the people you NEED.

Be mindful with the words you choose to speak - even if it’s “only” in written form
Whenever texting, please remember you are interacting with a person who holds God’s image just like you do! Man was created in His image. Remember that God decided they would be born and He sustains them with His breath that He breathed into Adam. Even if they interact like an animal unleashed, please be so very careful with those humans you interact with on social media. Every word that is written there is like a word spoken. We are to use our hearts and words to bless and not curse. To lift up and encourage others to a higher place of being. Beating one another on social media might be part of what is meant about beating the man servants and maid servants while the master is away:
Luke 12:43 Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. 44 Truly, I say to you,he will set him over all his possessions. 45 But if that servant says to himself, ‘My master is delayed in coming,’ and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and get drunk,
46 the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know, and will cut him in pieces and put him with the unfaithful. 47 And that servant who knew his master's will but did not get ready or act according to his will, will receive a severe beating. 48 But the one who did not know, and did what deserved a beating, will receive a light beating.
God takes care of the lowly. Are you super sure that the person you are texting is not the lowly? Can anyone know another man’s heart fully? And while we were yet sinners, Christ dies for us. So if you think that person is sinning, well, Christ already had His say on it at The Cross. Would you dare to double-cross The Cross?
God is love.
God expects us to be love like He is or He does get angry after first having much patience with us. Treating people well ensures that you don’t get into a difficult situation and you become more of a solution in the world instead of part of its problems.
If you are having a hard time overcoming your tendencies of not being loving, ask God for help. He wants to help. And then be open to doing the hard work of wanting that help to slowly be led into internal change. Many tools are here in Owned by Love to help you. There are many tools in the world to help you. God will help you while you do your work of growing in Love.
My loved fellow human, we can do this!
